Gregor Deschwanden finished 23rd at the World Cup jumping event in Falun, Sweden. The 34-year-old lost five places in the second round with his jump of 91.5 meters.
The Lucerne native had jumped exactly the same distance in the first round, but received better style marks from the judges.
The other Swiss athletes at the start, Simon Ammann (33rd), Sandro Hauswirth (37th), Felix Trunz (41st) and Juri Kesseli (46th), missed out on qualifying for the second round and thus the jump into the World Cup points.
The competition was won by Stefan Kraft. The Austrian did not allow himself to be knocked off his leading throne in the second round.
