Nikolaj Ehlers, the son of Visp's coach Heinz Ehlers, breaks the Danish scoring record in the NHL. He surpasses compatriot Frans Nielsen with two goals for Winnipeg.

Ehlers contributed two goals to the Winnipeg Jets' next win - his 473 and 474 scoring points in the National Hockey League. Ehlers has 209 goals and 265 assists. The Dane learned to play ice hockey in Switzerland and his goals helped the Jets to their eleventh win of the season in their twelfth game at home against Tampa Bay. It was the seventh time the Winnipeg Jets came back from a deficit to win (7-4 after trailing 2-0).

The two Swiss only played supporting roles in this game. Nino Niederreiter (Winnipeg) contributed an assist on the power play to make it 4-3; Janis Moser (Tampa Bay) did not shine and left the ice with a minus-4 rating.

Philip Kurashev was also in action with the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago won 4-2 in Anaheim and ended the series of five away games with a positive record (3 wins, 2 losses). Kurashev always played on the first block during this away trip alongside young star Connor Bedard (3 assists).
