After qualifying directly for the semi-finals in the Olympic discipline Formula Kite with 3rd place each, it was the end of the line in the preliminary round. Elena Lengwiler had to retire with material damage and Stragiotti failed her run.
The new competition format, according to which the quarter-finals and semi-finals are decided in just one run, put paid to the duo's plans.
