The Geneva cyclist Elise Chabbey is changing her employer for the coming season. The 31-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the French team FDJ-Suez.
"I feel like I need a change in my career to get the best out of myself and win some races," Chabbey wrote on Instagram about her transfer. The French-Swiss rider had been a member of the Canyon/SRAM Racing team since 2021.
Most recently, Chabbey was plagued by bad luck and had to abandon the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. At the Olympic Games in Paris, she fell out of the decision in the road race due to a crash and had to settle for 18th place. Despite a complicated season, Chabbey is one of the Swiss hopefuls at the home World Championships in Zurich.
