Elise Chabbey did not keep up with the best riders in the sixth stage of the Tour de Frances Femmes and lost over five minutes to the day's winner Maeva Squiban.
The Frenchwoman won solo ahead of her compatriot Juliette Labous. Kim Le Court Pienaar, who came third this time, remains in the lead in the overall standings. The woman from Mauritius mastered the field of favorites a good minute after the winner. Her lead over the Frenchwoman Pauline Ferrand-Prévot is now 26 seconds after further time credits. Last year's winner Katarzyna Niewiadoma from Poland is 30 seconds behind in third place.
Elise Chabbey, who still wears the leader's dotted jersey in the mountain prize classification, is 16th overall, 5:20 minutes behind.
On Friday, the 160 km from Bourg-en-Bresse to Chambéry includes the climb to the Col du Granier shortly before the finish. There are a total of three mountain classifications to master.
