The Swiss League playoff final is tied after two games. La Chaux-de-Fonds defeats Sierre 5-4 after overtime in Game 2.
Almost 5000 spectators in the Les Mélèzes ice rink in La Chaux-de-Fonds witnessed a thrilling final with nine goals, two canceled goals and missed penalties. Sierre led 3:2 and 4:3 in the Neuchâtel Jura, but conceded a 4:4 equalizer four and a half minutes before the end.
Anthony Huguenin scored the 5:4 winning goal for La Chaux-de-Fonds after 64:28 minutes. Two minutes earlier, Sierre's supposed winning goal had been disallowed due to a high stick.
The third game of the final series will take place on Thursday evening in Sierre.
