EV Zug can't find its way out of the crisis in the championship either

The Central Swiss are increasingly losing sight of direct playoff qualification. Zug have recently suffered seven defeats in a row, four of them at home. In the home defeats against Kloten (1:2 n.V.), the ZSC Lions (2:3 n.V.), Lulea (2:3) and Lugano, Zug never scored three goals in a game.

EVZ fared even worse two years ago in February. Back then, they even lost eight competitive games in a row - and went a month without a win. In the playoffs, they then advanced to the quarterfinals against Bern (winning 4:3) and were eliminated ingloriously in the semifinals against the ZSC Lions (0:4).

Playoffs? They are anything but assured for Zug this season. The gap to 6th place - the last place that guarantees direct qualification - is already eight points. And the SCL Tigers are creeping up from behind. And Schlittschuhclub Bern can also still be expected to improve.

Langnau only managed a point against Ajoie in Pruntrut. After leading 1-0, Langnau lost 2-1 on penalties against Ajoie.

In the Léman derby, Genève-Servette Hockey Club underlined that it is currently the number one team on Lake Geneva with a 3-0 away win in Lausanne.
