Ajoie's hopes that the dreary everyday life in the National League might brighten up at some point with a few successes are closely linked to the return of Jerry Turkulainen. The Finn suffered a serious leg injury last December as the top scorer in the entire league and had to undergo a long rehabilitation process.
On Sunday, he was on the ice for Ajoie for the second time since his return. And immediately showed his qualities against Lugano. Turkulainen put Greg Ireland's team ahead on the power play shortly before the first intermission. He converted a pass from his compatriot Julius Nättinen.
