Almost three months after winning the silver medal at the World Championships in the Czech Republic, the national ice hockey team will be honored at the Federal Palace on Monday evening.

The invitation to Bern was extended by President Viola Amherd and National Council President Eric Nussbaumer. After the group photo, there was a guided tour of the National Council and Council of States chambers and an aperitif. The magistrate thanked the national team, led by head coach Patrick Fischer, for the emotions and positive memories. "You won silver, not lost gold. I'm already looking forward to the next World Championships," emphasized the Valais native.
