The next cockpit for the 2025 Formula 1 season has been allocated. Oliver Bearman signs a "multi-year" contract as a regular driver with the Haas team.
The 19-year-old Briton, who comes from the Ferrari academy, will succeed Nico Hülkenberg next year, who is moving from the American racing team Haas to Sauber.
Bearman has already had his baptism of fire in Formula 1. In March, he stepped in at short notice for Carlos Sainz, who had to withdraw from the Ferrari team due to an appendectomy. As a replacement for the Spaniard, Bearman impressed straight away and immediately scored points in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, finishing seventh.
With Bearman's signing, there are still six cockpits to be filled for the next Formula 1 season. Of the ten teams, Ferrari, Red Bull, Aston Martin and McLaren (both with Mercedes engines) have already finalized their driver pairings.
