Kevin Fiala invites to a charity game in Zurich-Altstetten on Friday. A selection of NHL players will meet the Swiss champions and Champions League winners ZSC Lions for a good cause.
With the exception of the convalescing Roman Josi, all of the Swiss NHL regulars are in Fiala's line-up for the charity event. Money will be raised for the St. Gallen Children's Hospital as well as for the junior divisions of the ZSC Lions and EHC Uzwil - the club where Fiala once learned the ABC of field hockey.
Fiala, Hischier, Niederreiter and Co. are joined on the ice by top international stars such as Mats Zuccarello, Tim Stützle and crowd favorite Andres Ambühl. The record-breaking Swiss international will lace up his skates again two months after his last game as a professional.
The goalkeeping duo is made up of Akira Schmid and former world-class football goalie Petr Cech, who has started a second career on the ice since retiring in 2019 and has already made appearances in the top two British leagues. Fiala's selection is coached by national team coach Patrick Fischer.
