Kevin Fiala is still in scoring mood after the NHL's four-nation tournament. The Swiss forward played a key role in the Los Angeles Kings' 5-3 home win over Utah.
The two-week break has not hurt Kevin Fiala's form. The Swiss forward once again impressed as a scorer and passer in the home win with the Los Angeles Kings. Fiala scored his 22nd goal of the season in the 28th minute on the power play to make it 2:2, having previously provided the assist for Drew Doughty's 1:1 equalizer.
Together with Doughty and Utah's three-goal scorer Barrett Hayton, Fiala was named one of the three "Stars of the Game". Fiala scored twice in four of five games in February.
Hischier is back
There is good news from New Jersey, even though the Devils lost 4-2 at home to the Dallas Stars. Captain Nico Hischier made his comeback after a month-long injury layoff. However, the Valais native, who had missed six games due to a pubic bone injury, failed to score in the Swiss duel with Lian Bichsel, as did teammate Timo Meier. Jonas Siegenthaler is still missing for the Devils due to injury.
Niederreiter's Jets continue to win
Nino Niederreiter also went scoreless in the Winnipeg Jets' 4-3 shootout win over the St. Louis Blues. It was the ninth win in a row for the Jets, who clearly lead the Western Conference.
The new start also went well for captain Roman Josi and the Nashville Predators. The defenseman from Bern was involved in the winning goal with an assist in the 2:1 win at home against the Colorado Avalanche.
Pius Suter and Philipp Kurashev, on the other hand, suffered defeats with their teams. Suter lost 3-1 with the Vancouver Canucks in Las Vegas, while Kurashev was beaten 5-1 by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the Chicago Blackhawks' away game.
