The Los Angeles Kings with Kevin Fiala won in a penalty shootout against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday night Swiss time. While Pius Suter was still missing with injury for the Blues, Fiala remained scoreless in the game. The player from eastern Switzerland was unable to convert his penalty in the shootout.

Trevor Moore, who converted the decisive penalty for the Kings, ultimately ensured victory. He had already scored in the third period to make it 4:3.

The other Swiss players in the NHL were not victorious. Roman Josi lost 2:5 with the Nashville Predators against Utah Mammoth - although Josi did provide the assist on the first goal of the game, which Steven Stamkos scored for the Predators in overtime.

Nino Niederreiter also suffered a defeat with the Winnipeg Jets. The team lost 1:5 against the Detroit Red Wings. This was the first time in six games that the team failed to score at home.

Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Lightning failed to score for the first time in 15 games. They lost 5:8 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Janis Moser, who played just under 27 minutes, was not involved in any of the goals.
