Two Swiss players are celebrating an anniversary in the NHL. While Kevin Fiala scores his 200th goal in the regular season, Nico Hischier records his 400th scoring point.

Kevin Fiala was his team's only goal scorer in the Los Angeles Kings' visit to St. Louis. The St. Gallen forward opened the scoring in the 4th minute with a powerful direct shot on the power play. But the joy of his 200th goal in the regular season did not last long. The Kings were already trailing 1:2 at the first break and ultimately conceded their third defeat in a row with a 1:4 loss.

Timo Meier shines as scorer of the winning goal

Nico Hischier, who also gave the New Jersey Devils an early lead in the away game against Utah in Salt Lake City, fared better. His 25th goal of the season was also the Valais captain's 400th scoring point in the NHL (not including the playoffs). After the home team equalized in the middle third, the visitors were able to step up their game in the final period. Timo Meier from Appenzell scored the 2:1 winning goal 14 seconds after the second intermission. In the end, New Jersey prevailed 3:1.

Pius Suter also scores

Pius Suter was the fourth Swiss player to score in the world's best ice hockey league on Sunday night. The Zurich forward for the Vancouver Canucks scored in the opening period of the 6-3 defeat in Seattle to make it 1-1. Suter scored for the second game in a row and now has 16 goals for the season.
