Keystone
The Swiss men's team has suffered its first defeat at the World Championships in Moose Jaw, Canada, after two victories. The quartet led by skip Yannick Schwaller loses to the USA 7:12.
The quartet with Pablo Lachat-Couchepin, Sven Michel, Schwaller and Benoît Schwarz-Van Berkel fell behind early on. After a house of four from the Americans in the fourth end, they were trailing 2:7.
The Swiss then wrote three stones, but the USA immediately restored their five-point lead. The Swiss gave up after eight ends.
The Swiss team will be back in action later on Monday afternoon. Their opponents will be Japan, who are winless after three games.
