Duos from Scandinavia and the USA triumph at the Elite16 beach volleyball tournament in Gstaad.
David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig secured the first Swedish victory in Gstaad. In the final, last year's World Championship runners-up beat the Brazilian duo George/Andre 21:18, 21:18. The once dominant Brazilians have now been waiting for a victory in the Bernese Oberland since 2016.
In the women's final, Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth won the all-American duel against Terese Cannon/Megan Kraft in three hard-fought sets.
The Brazilians Agatha/Rebecca, who defeated the last Swiss duo Esmée Böbner/Zoé Vergé-Dépré in the quarter-finals, had to settle for 4th place.
