The two sisters, who have formed a permanent beach duo called Team Zouk since last fall, won the Pro Tour Challenge tournament in Alanya, Turkey, against the Italians Valentina Gottardi/Reka Orsi Toth 21:15, 12:21, 15:13.
"I'm super happy! It was such a tough match, I'm really exhausted," said Anouk Vergé-Dépré. The two players from Bern came under a lot of pressure in the second round of the final, but were able to recover after clearly losing the second set.
"We had to stay patient and not lose our heads," Zoé revealed the secret to success on the way to winning the tournament in the second-highest category of the Pro Tour behind the Elite16 events.
