FC Aarau continue to struggle in the season and lose 3-1 to Neuchâtel Xamax after taking the lead, while newly promoted Etoile Carouge narrowly avoid their first defeat with a 1-1 draw in Bellinzona.
Aarau, under new coach Brunello Iacopetta, suffered another disappointment. After leading 1-0 at the break, the home team collapsed in the second half. Two goals from Euclides Cabral turned the tide in favor of the visitors from Neuchâtel, and Paschal Durugbor made everything clear with the third goal. After three rounds, the Aargau side are bottom of the table with just one point.
Promoted side Etoile Carouge could have taken the lead in the table with a win against Bellinzona. However, the Geneva side fell behind early on in Ticino and failed to impress with their efficiency. Vincent Rüfli prevented their first defeat of the season by scoring the equalizer with a penalty in the 90th minute.
