FC Basel is losing its top scorer. Frenchman Thierno Barry is moving to Villarreal in the top Spanish league on a five-year contract.
Barry joined FC Basel last season from Belgian second division club Beveren. In the current championship, the 21-year-old striker has scored five goals in three games, making him the top scorer. In Basel's fourth Super League match, the one against Lugano, Barry was not part of the squad for disciplinary reasons.
