Bayern Munich are not to be denied in the second leg of the round of 16 tie, beating Leverkusen 2-0 to advance to the quarter-finals with an aggregate score of 5-0.

Coach Xabi Alonso's Werkself, who had to make do without star player Florian Wirtz, who had injured his medial ligament, and had to make way for Mario Hermoso, who injured his shoulder in the 38th minute, were rarely dangerous. The visitors, meanwhile, played with confidence against the double winners, defended compactly and scored both goals to secure their qualification for the next round.

Harry Kane (52nd minute) and Alphonso Davies (71st) scored for the record champions in front of 30,210 spectators in the sold-out Leverkusen Arena. This brought the dream of reaching the final in their own stadium on May 31 in Munich a little closer for coach Vincent Kompany's team.

FC Bayern secured their place in the quarter-finals with a commanding victory in their German Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen. After winning the first leg 3:0, the Munich side also won the second leg of the round of 16 tie 2:0 (0:0).
