The Swiss international scored a decisive goal in the 95th minute to secure his team's first full victory after five games without a win. Itten had already scored in the 37th minute.

The 28-year-old, who moved from Young Boys to Bundesliga 2 in the summer, scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season. The win gave Düsseldorf some breathing space in the relegation battle.
