FC Zurich has strengthened its squad with the signing of German Alexander Hack. The 32-year-old central defender has signed a contract with the ninth-placed team in the Super League until the end of the current season, with an option for a further year.

Hack last played in Major League Soccer for the New York Red Bulls. Prior to that, he played for Bundesliga club Mainz, for whom he made 133 appearances and scored six goals.
