New FCZ signings Juan Perea and Umeh Emmanuel scored the goals in Yverdon. The Colombian Perea scored in the 72nd minute and the Nigerian Emmanuel deep into stoppage time.

In the 92nd minute, the hosts almost turned the game on its head with a 1-1 draw. But Yverdon's penalty, which had already been awarded, was withdrawn because Yverdon's Mohamed Tijani committed a foul on the other side of the pitch that was ultimately punished with a red card.

Man of the Match: Juan José Perea

«Juan José Perea. He scored the game-winner and the attacking player also impressed with his punch and energy. Could give FCZ a lot of pleasure this season.»
