Liverpool FC take a first step out of the crisis. The Reds win against Inter Milan thanks to a VAR penalty in the closing stages.

Yann Sommer presented himself with the chance to become a hero with Inter Milan. It was the 88th minute in the clash with Liverpool when Dominik Szoboszlai was awarded a penalty after Florian Wirtz was upended in the Italian side's penalty area. However, the Hungarian shot was too sharp and well-placed for the former Swiss international goalkeeper to do anything about it. Inter slipped to 5th place after their second defeat in a row, while Liverpool moved up into the top 8.
