Video highlights Mbappé and Rodrygo fire Real Madrid to victory against Alavés

Real Madrid fight their way to a 2-1 away win at Alavés and close the gap on leaders Barcelona to four points.

Coach Xabi Alonso has probably saved his job as coach of Spanish football's record champions Real Madrid for the time being. The Whites won 2:1 (1:0) at CD Alavés and thus put a stop to their negative streak for the time being. The Madrilenians have only won one of their five league games recently and also disappointed in the Champions League against Manchester City (1:2).

Star striker Kylian Mbappé (24th minute) and Rodrygo (76th) made the Real victory perfect, with Carlos Vicente (68th) scoring the equalizer in between. The win puts Madrid second in the table, four points behind FC Barcelona. Coach Hansi Flick's side had won 2-0 against CA Osasuna on Saturday.
