Polish football mourns the loss of Jacek Magiera. According to the national football association PZPN, the national team assistant coach passed away on Friday at the age of 49.

Magiera collapsed during running training in the morning. He died shortly afterwards in the military hospital in Wroclaw.

Magiera crossed paths with Swiss football last season. In August 2024, as coach of Slask Wroclaw, he faced FC St. Gallen in the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League.
