Jack of all trades | The 25-year-old from Appenzell gives it her all both on and off the pitch. The trained dental assistant attended sports recruit school to further her football career. In Switzerland, she scored regularly for St. Gallen, YB and FCZ, but only once for the national team. When she was playing in Zurich (2021-2023), she lived in Bern and worked as a childcare worker at a day school in Muri. But Riesen was happy to put up with the long journeys for training sessions - up to four hours a day. Riding public transport was a good way for her to switch off. She has been playing for Eintracht Frankfurt since summer 2023. But Riesen would prefer to play in England.
