Video highlights Victory despite being short-handed for a long time: Bayern can't be stopped by PSG either

Bayern Munich also win their 16th competitive match of the season. Coach Vincent Kompany's team won 2:1 at defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the 4th round of the Champions League.

Munich put in an impressive performance in the first half - both at the back and up front. Luis Diaz, who joined Bayern from Liverpool this season, put the visitors ahead in the 4th minute. The Colombian attacker also made it 2-0 in the 32nd minute after PSG defender Marquinhos had botched the ball in front of his own penalty area.

Luis Diaz was not the only one to draw attention to himself, however, as he was too impetuous in a tackle from behind with Achraf Hakimi near the halfway line in first-half stoppage time. The result was a straight red card. Hakimi had to leave the pitch with his face contorted in pain. The pictures suggest a more serious foot injury. In the 25th minute, Ousmane Dembélé, this year's Ballon d'Or winner, was already out injured for the home team. Shortly before, his supposed equalizer had been disallowed for offside.

PSG's winning streak halted

Bayern's 2-0 lead after the first half was more than deserved. Shortly before the second goal, Serge Gnabry failed to score at the inside of the post, while PSG only managed one shot on Manuel Neuer's goal in the first 45 minutes. Joshua Kimmich came close to making it 3-0 in first-half stoppage time.

After the break, the French side, who had gone goalless in their previous four defeats to Bayern in the Champions League, dominated, partly due to their superior numbers. However, the defending champions were unable to do more than score the equalizer through João Neves (74') despite further top chances. As a result, the French record champions conceded their first defeat in the top flight after six wins in a row. It was the 45th win in the last 52 group games in the Champions League for Bayern, who remain unblemished this season.
