Silvan Widmer put Mainz 1:0 ahead after half an hour. When Nadiem Amiri increased the lead to 2:0 shortly after the break, the game seemed decided. But when Heidenheim's Stefan Schimmer scored the final goal, Urs Fischer's team began to tremble. In the end, however, it was enough for victory.
Borussia Dortmund confidently wins its match against Werder Bremen 3:0. Nico Schlotterbeck, Marcel Sabitzer and Serhou Guirassy scored the goals.
Stuttgart beat Frankfurt spectacularly
There was more spectacle in the chasing duel between Stuttgart and Frankfurt, which the Swabians won 3:2. Nikolas Nartey was the decisive factor.
