Lausanne-Sport remain a welcome guest at the Schützenwiese. The Vaud team lost 2-1 in Winterthur for the fourth time in a row.

The decisive moment came in the 74th minute. The deflected ball landed in a high arc in the Lausanne penalty area, where the defenders mistakenly speculated an offside, allowing Théo Golliard to score the 2:1 unchallenged. It was the 23-year-old's third goal of the season after his brace against Servette in November.

Two players had previously celebrated their Super League goal debuts. While Winterthur's Alexandre Jankewitz had to wait until his 68th appearance in Switzerland's top division, Lausanne's Florent Mollet scored his first goal in his twelfth game.

In the emotional final phase, Lausanne's Brandon Soppy and Winterthur's Stéphane Cueni clashed and were both sent off with a red card. However, this did not change the outcome of the game.

Thanks to their third win of the season, Winterthur, who had picked up just one point in their previous five games, gained an important morale boost. The team at the bottom of the table reduced the gap to GC to five points, at least for the time being. Lausanne, on the other hand, missed the chance to move into the top half of the table.
