Mounir Nasraoui, father of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, has come under fire after his engagement. The reason: his fiancée is significantly younger than him - and only a few years older than his son Lamine.
"Is that your daughter?" - These and similar comments can be found in abundance under an Instagram photo of Mounir Nasraoui, father of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, and his fiancée.
Many of the Yamal dad's Instagram followers are furious: Nasraoui (35) is twelve years older than his sweetheart Khristina (23). She, on the other hand, is only five years older than star son Lamine Yamal (18).
What's more, Yamal recently started a relationship with Argentinian rapper Nicki Nicole, who at 25 is two years older than Khristina. However, the relationship between Yamal and Nicole is said to be history.
Yamal will have the chance to make headlines on the pitch again on Sunday. His FC Barcelona will face Celta Vigo away from home from 21:00 (live on blue Sport). However, it is still unclear whether Yamal will be able to play. The 18-year-old is currently struggling with groin problems.
