Barcelona respond to their defeat in the Clásico with a clear home win against Elche. What this means for the title race with Real Madrid.

FC Barcelona have coped well with last weekend's 2-1 defeat in the Clásico in Madrid and remain the closest rivals to league leaders Real in the Spanish football league. Coach Hansi Flick's team celebrated an unchallenged 3:1 (2:1) victory at home against FC Elche.

As a result, the Spanish champions remain five points behind the Whites in second place in the Primera División. Real had won 4-0 against FC Valencia the day before.

Young star Lamine Yamal (10th minute) and Ferran Torres (12th) put Barcelona on the road to victory early on. Rafa Mir (42) scored the equalizer for the visitors shortly before the break. Marcus Rashford (61) made it 3-1 for Flick's side in the second half. FC Barcelona's victory was perfect preparation for Wednesday's Champions League match in Bruges.
