In the fourth game, champions YB pick up their first point of the season. The result was a 2-2 draw against FC Zurich after an intense exchange of blows.
After eleven minutes of stoppage time, the referee blew the final whistle in the Wankdorf. There were two reasons for the long stoppage time: In the 54th minute, Silvere Ganvoula scored to make it 2-1 for the home team. The striker had won a running duel against Mirlind Kryeziu and held his nerve in front of goal. However, it then took four minutes for the goal to be confirmed by the VAR. He had checked the position of the goalscorer and only decided late on that he was still just inside his own half of the pitch when the pass was made.
The second reason was a red card against Kryeziu, who was sent off after a rough tackle on Kastriot Imeri. This allowed YB to play with one more player for a good ten minutes at the end, even if it was only a theoretical superiority. After the foul, Imeri was only fit for limited action.
As a result, not much more happened in stoppage time and the teams parted with a draw. YB, who had turned around a 1-0 deficit after an early handball penalty, were a little more annoyed about sharing the points. The Zurich side owed the one point to Nikola Katic's header from a corner kick in the 76th minute.
With the one point, YB remain bottom of the Super League table.
