The quartet of Sebastian Stalder, Niklas Hartweg, Lea Meier and Amy Baserga clearly missed out on the medals. In the end, they were just under three minutes behind the victorious French team and around two minutes short of bronze.

Switzerland kept up reasonably well until Lea Meier's prone shooting. Starting skier Stalder had no misses in the shooting, but lost a lot of time in the cross-country skiing. The opposite was true for Niklas Hartweg, who was one of the fastest on the course but had four misses (one prone, three standing). Meier took over the lead with a gap of around one minute, but was unable to withstand the pressure in the prone shooting. Four misses meant a penalty round, which put Switzerland well behind. Final skier Amy Baserga ultimately limited the damage.

She was not at all satisfied with her performance, Lea Meier told SRF. "Getting a penalty in the prone position hasn't happened to me that often. Today it was down to me, I'm sorry for our team," said the 24-year-old, who was taking part in a major event for the first time.

As at last year's World Championships in Lenzerheide, victory went to the top favorites, France. Silver went to Italy, with the German quartet somewhat surprisingly taking bronze. Norway, who had led after the first two handovers, came away empty-handed in 4th place, as did Sweden in 5th place. While the Norwegian team was doomed in the final shoot-off with two penalty rounds, Sweden was eliminated from the decision after the first shoot-off with two penalty rounds.
