The tenth duel of the season between Fribourg and Bern went to overtime for the seventh time, the fourth time in the playoffs. Miro Aaltonen, who had already been responsible for the 1:2 (9th), scored the decisive goal in the 71st minute. The Finn has already scored five goals in these playoffs. Before that, both teams had missed good chances in overtime. SCB thus also fended off Fribourg's second match puck. The showdown will take place in Bern on Wednesday.

The home team squandered a 2:0 and 3:2 lead in regulation time. Both the 2:2 (32nd) and the 3:3 (47th) for the Bernese were scored by Marc Marchon, who had previously remained pointless in the playoffs. His first goal was scored from an acute angle. For the second, he took a wonderful pass from Waltteri Merelä and, coming out of his own zone, beat Fribourg goalie Reto Berra on his own, giving him no chance. It was Marchon's fourth brace in the top Swiss league.

SCB were well served with the 2:3 at the second break. The visitors lacked a lot in the first 40 minutes. They also lacked the necessary discipline. Fribourg was able to play no less than 8:53 minutes in the first two periods with an overtime advantage, even playing double time for 31 seconds. However, Gottéron were unable to do more than make it 3:2 through the powerful defender Yannick Rathgeb (38'). Rathgeb had disappeared into the dressing room three minutes before his goal after an unfortunate collision with teammate Christoph Bertschy. The story was rounded off by the fact that Bertschy provided the pass for the 3:2.

Fribourg's 1:0 through Sandro Schmid (6th) was preceded by the visitors losing possession in the neutral zone. 84 seconds later, Samuel Walser, who was given far too much space by the Bernese, scored with a shot from the blue line to make it 2:0. However, Fribourg also made mistakes in the person of Bertschy, who twice failed to clear the puck out of his own zone, which led to Aaltonen reducing the deficit to 1:2. SCB owed it primarily to goalie Philip Wüthrich that they were still in the game at the second break. He saved a penalty from Marcus Sörensen in the 31st minute.
