Originally, the French-speaking Swiss team would have only signed the 19-year-old junior international for two years starting in the summer.
"For some time now, I've had the feeling that I want to be closer to my family and settle down in Switzerland," Reber is quoted as saying in a statement from the club from Jönköping.
Reber came through the SCL Tigers' youth academy and moved to southern Sweden in 2023, where he scored 18 points in 69 games in the top division.
