No playoffs for Fribourg's Sandro Schmid

Fribourg-Gottéron has to announce a major absence one week before the start of the playoffs.
The Swiss Olympic participant Sandro Schmid is out for the entire championship decider.
Schmid suffered an injury in the last game of the qualifiers on Monday away against SC Bern (4:3) and is now out for the playoffs with a "lower body injury", according to the second-placed team in the National League qualifiers.
Schmid was Freiburg's second-best scorer in qualifying behind Henrik Borgström, who will face one of the clubs involved in the playoff quarter-finals. The 25-year-old, who comes from the team's own junior division, scored 38 points (10 goals).
