The top pairings for the start of the Rigi-Schwinget on Sunday have been decided. Samuel Giger and Sinisha Lüscher, among others, will be competing together at the third Bergkranzfest of the season.

Giger, who triumphed on Mount Rigi in 2021, will face Lüscher for the first time. The 19-year-old earned his duel with the favorite not least with his victory at the Aargauer Kantonale.
Werner Schlegel will also face Joel Ambühl in the first round, Christian Schuler Damian Ott and Armon Orlik Sven Schurtenberger.
The mountain festival has a smaller line-up than in previous years. Last year's winner Fabian Staudenmann will compete in the Bernese Cantonal Festival in Langnau and wrestling king Joel Wicki, who won the Rigi-Schwinget in 2018 and 2022, preferred to take part in the Southwestern Switzerland festival. Pirmin Reichmuth, winner of the Rigi-Schwinget 2023, will miss the mountain festival due to injury.
