The Vegas Golden Knights also win the second game of the NHL playoff semi-final against the Colorado Avalanche, this time 3-1.
Title favorites Colorado led until the 50th minute thanks to Ross Colton's goal in the opening period, but then conceded three more goals. The match-winner for the Golden Knights was Russian Ivan Barbashev, who set up the equalizer and scored the other goals. "The key was the second period. We had our problems and yet we only went into the dressing room with a 0:1 lead," said Vegas coach John Tortorella.
Colorado, the best team of the regular season, had to make do without star defenseman Cale Makar, as in the first game. The Golden Knights were again without goalie Akira Schmid. Game 3 will take place on Monday night in Las Vegas.
