The number 4 seed from Zurich (WTA 89) won her opening match against the Austrian Sinja Kraus (WTA 104) 6:4, 6:0 without any discussion.
Golubic was only not in the lead after the first game. She then pulled away to 4:1 and didn't let anything else get in her way. In the 2nd round, the 33-year-old will face former top 25 player Katie Boulter (WTA 120) from Great Britain.
