A Swiss trio can look forward to a special honor. The International Ice Hockey Federation has inducted Andres Ambühl, Florence Schelling and Ralph Krueger into the Hall of Fame.
For Ambühl, the special honor comes unusually quickly. The Grisons native only retired from top-level sport this spring. Florence Schelling was one of the best in her field during her time as a goalkeeper. Canadian-born Krueger worked as Swiss national coach for twelve years, from 1998 to 2010.
The ceremony for the induction into the Hall of Fame will take place on the final day of next year's World Championship in Zurich. The tournament will be held in the second half of May. The second venue is Fribourg.
