Gregor Deschwanden flies to 7th place twice in Vikersund

Gregor Deschwanden also finished 7th in his second competition at the Ski Flying World Cup in Vikersund, Norway.
The 34-year-old from Lucerne flew to 224 m in the only round. He was just ten points short of a top 3 ranking.
The victory in Vikersund went to Domen Prevc. The Slovenian only landed at 247 m, 16.5 m later than Andreas Wellinger. The German, winner on the Vikersundbakken the day before, also won the Raw Air competition series, the Norwegian equivalent of the Four Hills Tournament.
Cross-country skiing. - Like the day before, when she finished twelfth in the 18.6 km classic race, Anja Weber also finished in the top 15 in the 10 km skating race at Holmenkollen in Oslo in 14th place. The Zurich native lost 49.3 seconds to the victorious Swede Moa Ilar. The 27-year-old Ilar secured her second World Cup victory in the individual race, 1.6 seconds ahead of Norway's Heidi Weng.
Cross-country skiing. - The Norwegians showed their superiority in the men's 10 km skating event at Holmenkollen. Behind the winner Harald Amundsen, four more local athletes finished in the race: Einar Hedegart, who was beaten by 5.2 seconds, Johannes Klaebo, Andreas Ree and Iver Andersen. The best Swiss athlete was Cyril Fähndrich in 28th place, 1:16.8 minutes behind.
Biathlon. - A few hours after the historic Swiss victory in the single mixed relay, the Swiss-Ski quartet finished 7th in the mixed relay. Elisa Gasparin, Amy Baserga, Sebastian Stalder and Joscha Burkhalter were particularly strong in the shooting range and only missed one shot. The Swiss lost 1:06.7 minutes to the victorious Swedes in the last relay competition of the winter. The biathlon season comes to an end next week with three individual races in Oslo.
