Gretchen Walsh breaks the 100m dolphin world record for the third time in a year

For the third time in a year, Gretchen Walsh improves the world record in the 100 m dolphin. The American swims the distance in Fort Lauderdale in 54.33 seconds.
A year ago, Walsh was the first woman to break the 55-second barrier in Fort Lauderdale in 54.60 seconds.
At the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the 23-year-old was beaten by her compatriot Torri Huske. However, Walsh won gold twice in the medley relays. She is a seven-time world champion in the short course.
