Marvin Lier (33) of Kadetten Schaffhausen is ending his career after this season after 19 years in top handball. The Kadetten announced this in a press release.
Lier played the last five seasons for Kadetten on the wing. He previously played for Ehrendingen, Endingen, Pfadi Winterthur and the Bundesliga club Flensburg-Handewitt. Lier has already played 505 NLA games and 105 international matches.
He would like to end his career in the spring with a fifth championship title (all with the Kadetten). "Retirement is never easy for a top athlete," says Marvin Lier, "I will miss the sport very much."
