Ten riders, including Markus Fuchs with Leone Jei, only one Swiss show jumper, qualified for the jump-off to win the Grand Prix. Harrie Smolders managed the first clear round in the jump-off. Smolders and Monaco set a reference time of 41.74 seconds, which left the competition scratching their heads.

The outsiders shone in the final Grand Prix. Smolders is only 23rd in the world rankings, while the Italian Giulia Martinengo Marquet on Delta del'Isle is not ranked in the top 50. World number one Henrik von Eckermann from Sweden on King Edward had two knockdowns in the jump-off and only came ninth. Steve Guerdat gave up with Dynafix in the first round.

Martin Fuchs once again delivered the best Swiss result in the Grand Prix. However, the winner of Friday's top 10 final did not have the right distance at the second obstacle, the oxer. Fuchs recorded two knockdowns and finished in 8th place.
