For Höfflin, who was a surprise Olympic champion in Big Air in 2018, it was her best result in this discipline since finishing second in Chur three years ago. Her teammate Mathilde Gremaud had to settle for 4th place after winning the season opener in Chur in mid-October. Gremaud, who remains just ahead of Ledeux in the discipline rankings, was 8.25 points behind third-placed Flora Tabanelli from Italy.

As in Chur, the Swiss men did not finish on the podium in Beijing. Nevertheless, there was an improvement compared to the start of the season, when no Swiss qualified for the final. Andri Ragettli came fifth with 172.5 points, Kim Gubser finished 7th with 171 points. However, they remained well behind the top quartet led by winner Tormod Frostad from Norway, who took his first World Cup victory after finishing second in Chur.
