Mathilde Gremaud was the only Swiss woman to reach the slopestyle final at the Laax Open.
The Olympic champion from Beijing and two-time world champion finished the qualification with 70.68 points in 3rd place behind China's Eileen Gu (81.68) and Mengting Liu (74.68).
Sarah Höfflin (55.75) and Giulia Tanno (49.93) finished 17th and 20th respectively out of 28 competitors, missing out on the top ten required to qualify for the final by a relatively wide margin. Höfflin, who became Olympic champion in slopestyle ahead of Gremaud in 2018, missed out by almost seven points and Tanno by over twelve.
In the men's event, three Swiss skiers - Andri Ragettli, Kim Gubser and Nils Rhyner - made it into the 14-rider final, which, like the women's event, will take place on Saturday afternoon (from 13:30). Fabian Bösch, who is retiring at the end of the season and was world champion in slopestyle in 2015, was just 0.19 points short of a place in the final.
