The Biel players are happy about the decisive 2:1 at Ajoie
Keystone
Biel celebrated an important victory at bottom-of-the-table Ajoie in the battle for a play-in spot. The Seelanders won 2:1.
With Ajoie and Biel, the worst home team met the weakest away team. The Jura team had an answer to the visitors' 1:0 (25.) with the 1:1 (34.) - Philip-Michael Devos benefited in the power play from the fact that Biel goalie Harri Säteri put the puck into his own goal with his stick. However, Lias Andersson put Biel back in front four and a half minutes later with a "Buebetrickli", after which Säteri did not allow another goal. Niko Huuhtanen, who was signed from Finland at the beginning of December, scored for the first time in his sixth game for the EHCB in the 1-0 win.
Biel thus also won their third duel of the season against Ajoie, the first time after 60 minutes. The hosts are thus still waiting for their first win of the new year. For the Seelanders, it was only their fifth win in their 19th away game of the season.
