Jan Christen does not have to worry about the leader's jersey in the Tour of the Algarve on Friday. More than 120 riders, led by Belgian Jordi Meeus, finish the flat stage in the same time.

A hilly section from Albufeira to Faro awaits on Saturday. However, this stage is unlikely to be decisive. The overall victory will only be fought for on Sunday in a 20 km time trial with a final climb.
