Joyciline Jepkosgei from Kenya triumphed in the women's race in 2:14:00 hours. This moved her up to 4th place in the all-time best list. Jepkosgei distanced her compatriot Peres Jepchirchir, the current world champion and 2021 Olympic champion, by 43 seconds.
The men's winner also came from Kenya. John Korir won in 2:02:24 hours - the eighth-best time ever achieved over 42.195 km. The second-placed German Amanal Petros lost more than one and a half minutes to Korir.
